Is the word "gun" still banned, but much less imaginative violent play (ie actually, rather than imaginatively, hitting things) allowed? Those are awesome pics, with the third down being a classic victorian military saint image, other than the eyelashes being a bit long.
Hee! I didn't ban the word gun, that was the preschool, and D's Mum when he was a kid too. We are fairly lax on weapons and violence. I figure, boys like these are gonna be violent so may as well harness and direct it. So Basil knows how to bow and say "on guard" etc and the poses are not random, he's actually really good with sword technique! He is 1/4 samurai apparently.
The boys also love controlled-violence romping like playing dinosaurs on the bed, esp now we've nixed tickling :D
Oh man, I love alllll of these. Especially the family shots and the one with the Abuelita. So incredibly awesome, and the kids are gorgeous!! And so funny how the genes spun out with Basil being so very English looking and Sam having the darker skin genes, etc. It's like me and my brother -- he's dark and I'm light. :) Only he was born first. I had a hypothesis that recessive genes come out in second kids more, but in your family that isn't so.
IKR, the genes thing is fascinating. When Sam was born he was so identical to Bas that it freaked me out, but now they honestly don't even look like brothers to me. In fact if it wasn't for the fact that I've only done the baby making act with one man in my lifetime, I'd be wondering about their parentage!
